Greetings - thanks for visiting the Equines by Design
website -if this is your first time, welcome. And I know that many of you keep an eye on the mules we are working with
that will be available soon...thanks for coming back. This has been a great year for us here at Equines by Design--some
ranch and trailriding in New Mexico first part of the year, then on to Bishop Mule Days in California--glad to be able
to SPONSOR all the Youth classes there, delivering a mule to Cody, Wyoming and visiting with friends at Jake Clark Mule Days
in Ralston WY over Father's Day...after that we travelled to the Great Celebration Mule & Donkey Show at Shelbyville,
TN. And a wonderful trip up to Raton, NM for the Brad Cameron Mulemanship Clinic at the TO Ranch for a great visit with
Brad and everyone, plus some beautiful trailriding on the Buena Mtn. In a few weeks we haul another mule to one our
good customers in Wyoming! Life is good! Honored that our jack "Amarillo Slim" was the featured jack on the cover
of the annual 2009 Jack Issue of Mules and More magazine. We
have been training mules for 30 years now, since 1978..and horses several years earlier than that. And we look forward to
another 30 years with these unique longears. It has been a wonderful journey and we appreciate everyone who has encouraged
and supported us, family, friends and customers. Thanks for your confidence in our training and animals that we offer for
sale. At this point, the majority of our business is selling to repeat customers...following that would be word of mouth about
our animals...thank you for that...there's not much of a profit if you put a pencil to it selling mules that you raise, train
and put experience on for 4-5 years...but having mules go to good homes, with appreciative buyers makes it worth the work!
We have some nice mules for
sale right now...we never had a "lot" of mules for sale, we have what we can ride and put experience on, then offer
for sale. This means that each mule for sale from Equines by Design is really going to be an all around experienced animal
that is good to be around. Again, we train, haul and ride these mules, they are not "sale" or "trading"
mules - they are nice mules that have been born and raised here...or bought at a young age so that we can give them our
training foundation. They are nice-minded, ones that we enjoy using. There's no need for us to keep
anything other than the really good ones to use...and then offer for sale.

Our Jack "Amarillo Slim"(above) is an own son
of JenJack. He was 1985 Bishop Mule Days World Champion Jack and 1986 Houston Livestock Show Model Donkey. Siring mules with
tremendous disposition, conformation and athletic ability.

We have been raising and training mules since 1978. Our mules are good-minded, with
sound conformation. They are trained with natural horsemanship techniques. These mules are pretty enough for the showring,
but good-minded enough to be great TRAIL animals. What a time...with the rest of the country, we are experiencing the downturn of the economy and empathize with all
of you...it will get better I'm sure...but I do know that people are cutting down on spending...but our mules are selling
to people who are especially ready to have an animal they can enjoy...right now!...that's right for them and adds to
their quality of life. Having a friendly, calm mule provides kind of a "getaway" from the everyday problems,
gets you out into the natural world and provides some time each day, whether feeding, grooming or riding your mule, an "escape". Don't waste your time on a UNenjoyable mule! ****************************************************** Please note that there are additional links on the bottom of each
page. We appreciate your confidence in our mules and look forward to visiting with you...

We have been fortunate to raise and train some great mules over the past 25 years. Mules that are
"willing partners", successful in the showpen as well as great trailriding companions. Thank you for our success--to our
family, friends, mentors and customers.
If you are looking for a really calm, gentle riding animal that
is not spooky or a run off, with lots of personality, you should consider a saddle donkey. We have started appreciating and
enjoying the mammoth donkeys for trailriding and as loyal companions...if you'd like to see what we have for big donkeys that
ride, some drive, see our website www.DonkeysAtWindchimesFarm.com . See the photo of the neat saddle donkey above!

addition to website pages listed on the MAIN navigation bar Upper Left, please note that there are ADDITIONAL Website pages
listed at the bottom of each page.
You may even want to take a look at the pages that include the mules we have
sold this past year...it will give you a better idea of the kind of mules we have raised and trained that have gone on to
new owners.
